Accessibility Statement
Bali Rivo wants every traveler to be able to plan their Bali trip with us, including people with disabilities. This page explains what we are doing to make balirivo.com and app.balirivo.com accessible, and, more importantly, how to get help if something on our site is not working for you.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the W3C. These guidelines describe how to make web content more usable for people with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.
How we test
We check accessibility during development using:
- Automated accessibility scanners and browser based tools
- Manual keyboard navigation testing on key pages and flows
- Screen reader spot checks on important pages such as itinerary details and the trip planner
- Colour contrast and readability reviews
We are a small team, and our testing is ongoing rather than exhaustive, which is why we welcome user feedback.
What we are doing
To support accessibility, we work to:
- Use semantic HTML and clear page structure so screen readers can follow content reliably
- Provide descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
- Maintain sufficient colour contrast between text and background
- Ensure links, buttons, and form fields can be operated with a keyboard
- Use readable typography and consistent layouts across our content site and itinerary planner
- Write in plain, traveller friendly language
Known limitations
Some areas of Bali Rivo are not yet fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Some third party embeds, such as interactive maps and external booking links, may not meet the same standards as the rest of our site
- Older blog content and imagery may lack complete alternative text while we work through our archive
- The itinerary editor relies on visual interactions (drag and drop, map pins) that we are working to make more accessible through keyboard and screen reader friendly alternatives
We are actively working on these as part of our ongoing development.
